BTE - Behind the Ear
As one of most common and widely utilized hearing aid, BTE model accommodate a wide range of hearing losses and it is available in a verity of discreet sizes to meet the growing demand. While sitting behind the ear, BTE delivers the sound into the ear either via ‘Sound Tube’. Sound tube can either be an acoustic tubing channeled through a custom made earmould, or a custom made micro mould which fits perfectly inside the ear canal, or a discreet ‘thin tube’ attached to the ear dome. The hearing aid with thin tube is much discreet than CIC hearing aid. It is suitable for profound hearing losses for its power, and the dual microphones assist in improving speech understanding even in noisy environment.
